World Pancreatic Cancer Day - When do you get pancreatic cancer?

While pancreatic cancer can occur at any age, most cases are diagnosed in people over 65. Several risk factors can increase your chances of developing pancreatic cancer, including smoking, diabetes, and chronic pancreatitis (pancreas inflammation).

While there is no sure way to prevent pancreatic cancer, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and avoiding known risk factors may help to lower your risk. If you have symptoms associated with pancreatic cancer, such as abdominal pain or jaundice, you must see a doctor for further evaluation.
