HIGH DOME CASSEROLE INSERT

(Use when slack cooking)

Ingredients:

Raisins

1 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. A very easy rule of thumb when cooking raisins is to fill the unit with raisins and fill with water until the water just barely covers the top. Start on medium heat till valve whistles.
  2. Turn to low heat for 10 - 12 minutes.
  3. Thicken with 1 tablespoon cornstarch An alternate way to do raisins is to put them in the casserole insert and fill with water the same as above.
  4. Place casserole inserts on divider rack over roast meat and steam until meat is done. This is done with a large skillet or 6 qt. dutch oven with the high dome cover as a lid.
